Year R: Home Learning Resources

Year R: Beech and Maple Home Learning Resources.

Firstly, thank you for your help and support, we know it is a difficult and worrying time for all.  We have provided weekly work packs and overviews of learning to help your child maintain consistency and to continue to follow our term plans and themes. Please use these overviews as an 'ideas bank' to cover the areas your child needs to investigate and complete.  Along with the links to online learning on the front page you're sure to have a lot of fun together.

Singing Sessions

Nursery Rhymes- These are a list of rhymes we have already learnt in school. Can you sing them at home? If you aren't sure of the words, type them into youtube and sing a long with the video. We will share some more songs and rhymes.

  • 1,2,3 buckle my shoe
  • Old McDonald had a farm
  • baa baa black sheep
  • dingle dangle scarecrow
  • the grand old duke of York
  • 5 currant buns
  • twinkle twinkle little star
  • I'm a little teapot
  • Jack and Jill went up the hill
  • London bridge is falling down

We are living through history- Make a time capsule together, write a letter to yourself in the future, put newspaper cut outs in it or articles from online, draw a picture of your family and what life is like now, even add some photos and then pop it somewhere safe to discover it year later.

Make a painting of a rainbow, pop it in your window as a little hello to all your friends and family if they walk past.
