Little Acorns

Mrs Dolding is the Nursery Lead Teacher in school and oversees the planning and running of the Little Acorn’s Pre-Nursery Class. The Pre-Nursery is run daily by two highly experienced Early Years Practitioners; Mrs Evans and Mrs Tanner who are the nursery children’s Keyworkers.

Little Acorn’s Pre-Nursery provides Early Years provision for 2-3 year old children. It runs for 5 morning sessions only from 8.45 to 11.45am. Children can choose to attend 2 or more sessions a week and must book for a whole term in advance.  If only 2 sessions are chosen they must be on consecutive mornings to help the children settle.  Please ask the school office for details of costs.

3 year olds only:

If your child is 3 years old there is also an option to apply for 30 hours funding and stay for the whole day from 8.45am to 3.30pm. Funding is available for families if both parents work or for single parents who work. If you are not eligible for funding you may purchase up to 5 extra afternoon sessions through the week and stay for the whole day, at a cost of £18 a session which includes a place in lunch club.  The afternoon session will be provided  at present in the Acorns Nursery class. You can also attend just the lunch club at a cost of £4. This cost includes a hot meal and adult supervision.
